That used to be me – I wasted 15 years stuck like this.
let me tell you a little bit about my story…

Cheated on & heartbroken at 25, I turned to alcohol to numb my feelings. Quickly, it progressed to cocaine & ecstasy – I was feeling hurt & rejected and I wanted to check out of my reality.
I spent the next 3 years drinking, doing drugs and eating foods that soothed my hangovers and my weight crept on.

By the time I was 28 I’d gained 60 lb.
I’d always suffered from low self esteem and add to it the baggage of a cheating ex AND the weight, and I got really low.
I felt heavy, uncomfortable and so disgusted with myself I avoided looking in the mirror and whenever I caught a glimpse of my reflection in a car or shop window, I my heart would sink.

Slimming World
Atkins
Dukan
Cabbage soup (ew!)
Slim Fast
Raspberry ketones
Oolong tea (thanks for that Posh Spice!)
Xenical (some slimming tablets that made me shit oil! sorry - too much info!)
Another kind of slimming tablets I bought from a back street Doctor which gave me heart palpitations (I think it had some sort of amphetamine in it)
You name it, I’d probably bought it.
I wasted so much money looking for something that worked.
I did lose some weight on all of them, but I never got it all off and the results I did get, never lasted.
I watched every diet programme on the TV, took tips from every celebs weight loss transformation article in magazines, but I still got nowhere.
After 4 years of starting and stopping diets I threw caution to the wind and spent £6,000 hiring a Personal Trainer & Dietitian.
It was my last resort and the only thing I hadn’t tried so I assumed they must have the secret I’d been searching for.

But they didn’t know anything I didn’t already know.
I was put on an intense training plan (consisting mainly of HIIT, running and spinning 7 days a week!) and had to cut out alcohol for 6 months.
They gave me a list of what I could and couldn’t eat (my diet was basically egg whites, white fish, white meat and green vegetables) no treats, no meals out, no nothing.
It was miserable, but because I’d invested so much, I made sure I stuck to it!

And sure enough I managed to lose all the weight, but I struggled to maintain it and developed BED (binge eating disorder).
I spent the next 5 years in a new cycle of: following the meal plan > bingeing > obsessively exercising > following the diet > bingeing > obsessively exercising…
My relationship with food was unhealthy to say the least – if it was on the list it was ‘good’ and if it wasn’t, it was ‘bad’ and I felt either good or bad depending on what I ate.
I resigned myself to the fact that this was my new normal if I wanted to keep the weight off, but was so mad at myself for liking foods other than chicken, broccoli and green beans, I literally wished I’d never even tasted stuff like pizza, chocolate and crisps!
Probably the only good thing that came out of this period was that I fell so head over heels in love with exercise and fitness, I said bye to my job as an Office Manager to become a Personal Trainer. I wanted to help other people to get in shape and feel better about themselves.
But the worst was yet to come.

After an incident with my family I found myself in the darkest place I had ever been. I was suicidal and started drinking and doing drugs more than I’d ever done before.
It took a huge spiritual awakening for me to find the strength to quit alcohol (and drugs) in 2013.
Being sober became my only goal, so I stopped paying attention to my weight and didn’t notice that instead of using alcohol and drugs to numb my emotions, I had starting using food – particularly sugar.
No one around me batted an eyelid as food is so socially acceptable (and it’s also the most abused anxiety drug).
But the penny finally dropped 6 months later when I couldn’t even squeeze into my leggings (and leggings usually ALWAYS fit!).
I didn’t have a scale at home (as it used to depress me), so I went to my local pharmacy to use their weighing machine.
When I saw the number on the screen I couldn’t believe what I was seeing – I stepped off and waited for the print out.
It was right – I’d gained 30 lbs! 30 f**king lbs!!! AGAIN!
I knew I’d put on weight, but didn’t think it was that much – I was half way back to my biggest and felt so ashamed.
I was a Personal Trainer, dammit – I was supposed to be a role model.

something changed in me –
Turns out there is a way where weight loss is guaranteed and sustainable, and dieting is easier.
One where no food is off plan so there’s no more stopping & starting diets & no more struggling with cravings or feeling guilty about your food choices.
Sounds too good to be true, right?!…
I totally get it – I didn’t believe it myself to be honest.
I thought for diets to work, it had to be hard, you needed to punish yourself, give up ‘bad’ foods, feel hungry and have strong willpower.
But at that point I was all out of options so I decided to give it a go and wtf?!…
It actually WORKED!!!
After struggling with my weight for 15 YEARS, I finally found what I’d been searching for!
And I learnt how to eat the right way for fat loss and how to include ALL the things we’re traditionally told NOT to eat when trying to lose weight!
Such as…
Carbs - bread, potatoes, rice, pasta
Meals out - burgers, pizza, Chinese
Treats - chocolate, cakes, desserts
There wasn’t one thing that I wasn’t able to eat and I STILL lost weight!
AND I only exercised 3 x per week! (and it wasn’t bloody CARDIO!)
I’d never lost weight so easily in my life! And I now know the EXACT formula on how to lose it with ease.
There’s no more guesswork or stepping on the scale crossing my fingers.
But not only that, I recovered from binge eating and learnt how to maintain which was a massive game changer, as that had always been a major struggle for me.

Although I never judge someone else’s drinking habits, after a while of being sober I started to feel out of integrity coaching clients on how to lose weight whilst binge-drinking at weekends, like I used to.
Wanting to surround myself with other sober people, I joined a few a few Facebook groups and noticed there was a demand for help with weight loss within the community.
Lots of people were struggling with weight gain after getting sober as they were now bingeing on sugar (getting sugar drunk is an actual thing) it wasn’t just me – this was actually a common side effect of cutting out booze, so I felt called to only work with alcohol-free clients.
However, knowing that alcohol can cause inflammation in the body and hearing that it can prevent weight loss, I took a small group of men and women who’d been AF for different amounts of times (ranging from 2 months to 2 years) through a free 4 week trial to test it and…

Look, I know how you’re feeling.
After so many weight loss programmes promising you amazing results and completely letting you down, I totally understand you have doubts about trying yet another one and feeling fear around investing for a high-level coach.
I know, I’ve done it and it’s terrifying.
